WNBU began in 2020 at Georgia State University as a business writing project that identified a clear industry problem: women’s basketball lacked visibility, consistent marketing, and authentic off-court storytelling. What started as a classroom pitch evolved into a platform built to champion women’s basketball and the athletes who power it. Through coverage of the WNBA, NCAA Women’s Basketball, Unrivaled Basketball, and more, we work to increase visibility, engagement, and revenue across the sport. By centering player narratives, day-to-day experiences, and the systemic inequities in pay, marketing, and opportunity, WNBU pushes the women’s game toward the recognition and investment it deserves.
